Collect and save from various food items. The school receives 10 cents for each box top turned in. Top collecting students and classes win a gift card and/or pizza parties at the end of the school year. Monthly winners receive a special treat.
3rd Grade Summer Reading Boost

Mount Vernon City Schools is offering Summer Reading Boost for students in 3rd grade only. Teachers will recommend your child if they did not pass the Fall Reading OAA and feel they are at risk of not passing the Spring OAA. The summer reading boost session is from June 13th through June 24th, 2011. The class will be held at Pleasant Street Elementary from 9:00 am—11:30 am. Parents are responsible for transportation. If you have any questions, please call the school office or talk with your child’s classroom teacher.
