Two Hour Delay Schedule
Mount Vernon City Schools will use 2-hour delays as necessary. Delays, as well as school closings will be announced on:
WMVO/WQIO (1300AM/93.7FM)
WNZR (90.9FM)
WSNY (95.5FM)
WTVN (610AM)
WCMH (Channel 4)
WSYX (Channel 6)
WBNS (Channel 10)
During a delay, children riding buses will be picked up two hours later than their usual time. School will begin promptly at 11:00am. If we are on a 2-hour delay, families will still need to listen to the radio to see if a decision is made to close school. Weather conditions may make it necessary to change our plans.
No breakfast will be served.
Kindergarten 2 Hour Delay Schedule
Whenever a two-hour delay has been announced, morning kindergartners will attend school from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and afternoon kindergartners will attend from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. That means buses will pick up morning kindergartners at their homes about two hours later than the regular time; afternoon kindergartners will be picked up approximately one hour later than usual.
